Job summary

Hartpury University and Hartpury College is seeking a part‑time Finance Assistant to support the delivery of a student‑facing finance service. You will act as a point of contact for student funding enquiries and help students access bursaries, loans and other financial support.

Qualifications

• Ideally hold a Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject area, or demonstrate equivalent experience.
• Experience working in a busy administrative, finance or customer-focused environment.
• Strong numeracy skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident use of Microsoft Word and Excel, with good IT literacy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for clear explanations.
• Discretion when handling sensitive information and data.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of an efficient and student‑focused finance service.
• Be a key contact for student finance enquiries and funding options.
• Help students access bursaries, scholarships, loans and other financial support.
• Build positive relationships with students, colleagues and external organisations.
• Contribute to accurate and smooth administration of student finance activities.
• Support enrolment activities, open days and other events.
• Work in a role blending customer service, administration and financial processing.
