Job summary

The University of Sheffield is seeking a proactive Education Manager to enhance the student experience across the School. You will support students, coordinate feedback mechanisms, and help deliver inclusive, high-quality learning journeys from induction to graduation.

You will manage communications, coordinate events, liaise with diverse staff and student representatives, and ensure timely delivery of tasks.

Qualifications

• Educated to A Level standard or equivalent experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and students in person and in writing.
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
• Proven IT skills with Microsoft and Google packages.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Ability to work well in a team and build relationships.
• Excellent event organisation and stakeholder engagement.
• Understanding of higher education issues (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Gather student feedback and inform changes via committees and NSS.
• Produce student-facing materials and communications with support from Digital Learning Advisors.
• Support changes to student registration status.
• Attend meetings, take minutes, and draft agendas.
• Design activities to support inclusive student representation.
• Engage with students on Year Abroad and short exchanges.
• Support Extenuating Circumstances and Learning Support Plans.
• Cover rota at the main student reception and collaborate with the wider team.
• Maintain knowledge of internal policies and procedures.
• Assist Education and Student Experience Team to deliver responsibilities.
• Carry out other duties as required.
