Job summary

The University of Birmingham is seeking a Student Experience Officer in the College of Life and Environmental Sciences to coordinate and deliver student‑centred activities across the student lifecycle. Based at Edgbaston, Birmingham, the role combines administration with direct engagement to support transition, belonging and student success.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent with practical experience in a similar role.
• Experience supporting students in higher education or complex student-facing environments.
• Ability to analyse data and feedback to inform planning and improvement.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver student experience activity across the student lifecycle.
• Support a coherent and inclusive programme of student engagement activity.
• Act as operational contact for student experience in designated areas.
• Provide continuity of delivery and escalate risks to the Student Experience Manager.
• Support effective student feedback mechanisms and representation.
