Job summary

The University of Manchester is seeking a motivated Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Assistant to join the Information, Advice and Guidance team on Oxford Road, Manchester. This permanent, full-time role supports student-facing services and enhances the student experience with on-campus presence required most of the working week and occasional evening work.

• Experience of working with administrative processes.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with a wide range of people.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise in a busy environment.
• Flexible, responsive approach to customer needs while maintaining confidentiality.
• Familiarity with standard IT packages.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for student support and wellbeing queries, providing accurate information and guidance.
• Maintain a welcoming presence in student-facing services, including the Student Support Hub.
• Support student experience initiatives such as peer mentoring, student engagement and events.
• Maintain accurate records, prepare correspondence, track actions and support data quality across systems.
• Provide operational and team support including room bookings, catering, minutes and liaison with Students’ Union.
