Cummins in Cwmbran, Wales is seeking an enthusiastic Student Engineer for a Summer 2027 placement. You will gain hands-on experience on live projects under supervision, learning what it takes to operate in a global engineering organization.

You must be currently studying for an accredited engineering degree (prefer Mechanical or transferable). The role requires onsite work and relocation/travel to the location as needed, with exposure to design, testing and simulation techniques.

• Currently studying for an accredited engineering degree, preferably Mechanical Engineering or transferable.
• Show an interest in working in a global corporation and adaptability to a changing environment.
• Capable of independent working and teamwork as required.
• Keen to work in an automotive organisation with a keen interest in the automotive industry.

Responsabilidades

• Gain hands-on experience by working on live projects under the supervision of an experienced Engineer.
• Involve in the detailed design of components to industry standards.
• Participate in creating construction or tolerance layouts, and conduct testing of physical components for performance and reliability.
• Acquire knowledge about simulation techniques and software used in engineering projects to predict and enhance performance.
• Undertake an individual project focusing on developing specific skills and knowledge for future career advancement.
