Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Cwmbran, Wales, UK, seeks a Student Engineer for a 12‑month cooperative placement starting Summer 2027. Qualifications

Currently studying for an accredited engineering degree, preferably Mechanical Engineering or transferable.

Capable of independent working and teamwork as required.
Keen to work in an automotive organisation with a keen interest in the automotive industry.

Responsibilities

Gain hands-on experience by working on live projects under supervision of an experienced Engineer.
Involve in various aspects of a typical Engineering role, including detailed design of components to industry standards.
Participate in creating construction or tolerance layouts, and conduct testing of physical components.
Acquire knowledge about simulation techniques and software used in engineering projects.
Undertake an individual project focusing on developing specific skills and knowledge.
Develop a comprehensive understanding of engineering practices and principles for a successful career.
