A leading educational institution in London is seeking a Student Community Officer to support student engagement and promote positive behaviour. South Thames Colleges Group is seeking Student Community Officers to support and develop our students by promoting good behaviour, community responsibilities, and positive engagement.
You will play a key role in fostering a positive ethos within the College community, including enrichment activities and wider Student Services. Your responsibilities include providing a welcoming onsite presence, signposting enrichment opportunities, promoting inclusivity and positive behaviour, and supporting early intervention for students 'at risk.'
Applicants should have experience working with young people in educational settings, understanding issues affecting attendance and behaviour, and knowledge of behaviour management, safeguarding, and child protection policies. Strong interpersonal, communication, and IT skills are essential, along with the ability to build effective relationships with students and partners.
Note: The successful candidate will be eligible for salary increases following a cost of living review from 1 August.
