Job summary

Pertemps Leicester is looking for a friendly Student Check-In Runner to support arrivals across student accommodation sites in Loughborough. You will assist with luggage, help move items between vehicles and reception, and welcome students and families in a fast-paced environment.

The role is temporary/ad-hoc with shifts across multiple sites in Loughborough. Pay is £13.58 per hour, with a start date of Monday 7th September 2026 and an expected duration of about one week.

Qualifications

• Reliable and punctual.
• Physically fit and able to be on your feet most of the day.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and parents with arrivals at check-in.
• Move luggage between vehicles, reception and accommodation areas.
• Provide a friendly, helpful service to students and families.
• Support the wider check-in team during busy periods.
• Keep communal areas tidy and clear.
• Work across different student accommodation sites in Loughborough as required.

The Role

We are looking for friendly, energetic and reliable Student Check-In Runners to support student arrivals across various accommodation sites in Loughborough.

You will be part of a busy check-in team helping students move into their accommodation, ensuring everything runs smoothly and providing a friendly welcome.

Duties

• Assisting students with their luggage and belongings on arrival
• Moving luggage between vehicles, reception areas and student accommodation
• Helping students and parents/guardians with general queries
• Supporting the wider check-in team during busy arrival periods
• Keeping communal areas clear and tidy
• Providing a friendly and helpful service to students
• Working across different student accommodation sites in Loughborough as required

About You

• Friendly, approachable and confident when dealing with students and the public
• Reliable and punctual
• Physically fit and comfortable being on your feet for the majority of the day
• Happy to lift and carry luggage
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
• Flexible and available for ad-hoc shifts when required
• Previous customer service, hospitality, events or similar experience is beneficial
