Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Leicester is seeking friendly Student Check-In Runners to support arrivals across multiple student accommodation sites. The role is temporary/ad-hoc for about one week, starting Monday 7 September 2026, with shifts across various sites and flexible hours.

You will help with luggage, answer queries from students and families, and ensure check-ins run smoothly. A reliable, approachable candidate who is comfortable on their feet and able to travel between locations will fit

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable and confident when dealing with students and the public.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Physically fit and comfortable on your feet for the majority of the day.
• Happy to help with lifting and carrying luggage.
• Flexible and available for ad-hoc shifts when required.
• Previous customer service, hospitality, events or similar experience would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting students with their luggage and belongings on arrival.
• Moving luggage between vehicles, reception areas and student accommodation.
• Helping students and parents/guardians with general queries.
• Supporting the wider check-in team throughout busy arrival periods.
• Keeping communal areas clear and tidy.
• Providing a friendly and helpful service to students.
• Working across different student accommodation sites in Leicester as required.
