Job description

The Student Ambassador Admin Assistant is responsible for a range of administrative duties to ensure the efficient running of the Student Ambassador programme, as well as supporting other administrative tasks for the Widening Participation and Outreach team. Tasks include:

  1. Act as a point of contact for the student ambassador scheme, and anyone booking ambassadors via email, over the phone, or in person.
  2. Upload jobs onto our employment portal, HEAT, and book appropriate ambassadors for jobs.
  3. Manage the student ambassador mailbox—answer emails and respond promptly.
  4. Support the recruitment and training of new cohorts of Student Ambassadors.
  5. Book meeting rooms for colleagues and support administrative duties aligned with the team's work.
  6. Organise and update office databases.
  7. Respond to questions and requests for information.
  8. Opportunities to gain experience supporting taster days, sharing your student experiences, and being a positive role model to prospective students.
