School Administrative Assistant – SEN Education Setting
Location: West London Area
Contract: Part-Time, Term Time Only (36 hours/week)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: Scale 3, Point 5–6 (Dependent on experience and qualifications)

A warm and inclusive special education setting in West London is seeking a proactive and well-organised Administrative Assistant to join its busy and supportive admin team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys fast-paced, people-focused work and wants to be part of a purposeful school community that supports children with special educational needs.

About the Role:
You will play a key part in the smooth day-to-day running of the school office. Responsibilities include supporting the front desk, managing key administrative systems, liaising with families and professionals, and supporting internal staff processes such as leave administration and financial paperwork.

This is a term-time only role, working 36 hours per week:

  • Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–4:15pm

  • Friday: 8:00am–4:00pm

  • Includes a 1-hour unpaid lunch break


Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a professional and welcoming front-of-house service

  • Coordinate staff leave, absence records, and key HR documentation

  • Support internal administrative processes across departments

  • Communicate efficiently with parents, staff, and external professionals

  • Learn and use school systems (e.g. MIS, attendance, finance software)

  • Help maintain a calm, efficient, and organised school office

What We’re Looking For:

  • Excellent digital literacy and confidence using Microsoft Office and IT systems

  • Calm under pressure and composed during busy periods

  • A team player with a strong work ethic and initiative

  • High level of organisation, attention to detail, and professionalism

  • Previous experience in a school office or similar public-facing administrative role is desirable

  • Experience with systems like SIMS or Arbor is a bonus (training available)
