Job summary

British Engineering Services Group, via its XEIAD division, is seeking a Structures Engineer to carry out on-site examinations of civil engineering structures across the UK, assessing condition, identifying risks and producing clear inspection reports. You will lead inspections, coordinate resources, comply with standards, travel as required, and contribute to safe, compliant asset management.

Qualifications

Degree in an Engineering related field is required.
Highways structures inspection BICS competency, or be prepared to work towards.
Previous experience in a structures inspection role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to organise and prioritise workloads effectively.
Willing to travel and work on site across the UK.
Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Lead the safe delivery of structural inspections across a range of infrastructure assets.
Coordinate site activities, resources, plant, equipment and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery.
Complete inspections in line with relevant technical standards, specifications and customer requirements.
Identify and manage site risks through planning, dynamic risk assessment and safe systems of work.
Produce accurate, high-quality technical reports and inspection records.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors and key stakeholders.
