Job summary

XEIAD, part of British Engineering Services Group, is recruiting a Structures Inspector to inspect and survey infrastructure assets across the highways sector. You will lead inspections from planning to report delivery, ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires experience in structures inspection, knowledge of DMRB standards, and ability to travel nationwide. A UK driving licence and CAD reporting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Structures Inspection role.
• Knowledge/awareness of DMRB standards.
• Familiarity with CS450 and the Inspection Manual for Highways Structures.
• Awareness of the Senior or Inspector level qualification under the Bridge Inspector Certification Scheme (BICS)
• Be prepared to travel nationwide.
• Ability to work at height and within confined spaces.
• Full UK Driving license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Structural Inspections, Investigations and Surveys on a wide range of infrastructure civil engineering assets across the highways sector.
• Inspect and examine a variety of structures throughout the UK in accordance with the required technical standards/specifications.
• Lead the safe and successful delivery of Structural Inspections, Investigations and Surveys.
• Prepare inspection reports, including the production of drawings within CAD.
