Job summary

British Engineering Services Group, through XEIAD, seeks a Structures Inspector to ensure the safety and fitness for purpose of diverse civil infrastructure across the highways sector. You will deliver inspections, investigations and surveys, using specialist access methods and preparing reports and CAD drawings.

The role requires experience in inspections, DMRB/BICS awareness, a driving license, and willingness to travel nationwide. A strong safety mindset and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Structures Inspection role.
• Knowledge of industry standards under the DMRB.
• Familiarity with CS450 and the Inspection Manual for Highways Structures.
• Awareness of the Senior or Inspector level qualification under the Bridge Inspector Certification Scheme (BICS).
• Be prepared to travel nationwide.
• Ability to work at height and in confined spaces.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and examine a variety of structures across the UK using specialist access.
• Lead the safe and successful delivery of Structural Inspections, Investigations and Surveys.
• Contribute to pre-site planning activities and liaison with landowners/contractors.
• Prepare inspection reports and CAD drawings.
• Collaborate within the infrastructure projects team.
