Job summary

British Engineering Services Group seeks a Structures Inspector (XEIAD) to inspect and survey a range of civil infrastructure assets across the highways sector. You will lead inspections, investigations and surveys, using specialist access methods and producing required reports and CAD drawings.

The role requires travel nationwide, working at height and in confined spaces, with a starting salary around £40,000 dependent on experience and qualifications, plus extensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Structures Inspection role
• Knowledge/awareness of DMRB standards
• Familiarity with CS450 and the Inspection Manual for Highways Structures
• Awareness of the Bridge Inspector Certification Scheme (BICS)
• Be prepared to travel nationwide
• Work at height and in confined spaces
• Full UK Driving licence

Responsibilities

• Carry out Structural Inspections, Investigations and Surveys across UK highways.
• Lead safe delivery of inspection projects and site surveys.
• Contribute to pre-site planning and liaise with landowners and contractors.
• Prepare inspection reports and drawings using CAD.
• Collaborate within a growing infrastructure projects team.
