Job summary

XEIAD, part of British Engineering Services Group, seeks a Structures Engineer to perform site examinations of civil engineering structures across the UK. You will assess condition, identify risks and produce clear reports, working to ensure safe, compliant asset management.

Responsibilities include leading inspections, coordinating resources, and building strong client relationships, with travel across the UK and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Degree in an Engineering related field.
• Highways structures inspection BICS competency, or prepared to work towards.
• Previous experience in a structures inspection role.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to organise and prioritise workloads effectively.
• Willing to travel and work on site across the UK.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the safe delivery of structural inspections, investigations and surveys across a range of infrastructure assets.
• Coordinate site activities, resources, plant, equipment and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Complete inspections in line with relevant technical standards, specifications and customer requirements.
• Identify and manage site risks through effective planning, dynamic risk assessment and safe systems of work.
• Produce accurate, high-quality technical reports and inspection records.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, contractors and key stakeholders.
