Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Structures Engineer to help manage our assets by identifying needs and producing risk management plans. The role may include project management, budgets, and supply chain elements to maintain assets in line with DMRB standards.

The role may spend time developing treatment options, preliminary design work, and structural reviews while ensuring adherence to asset policies and standards. Hybrid work from Basingstoke, Guildford or Maidstone offices is available.

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in relevant discipline; working towards a professional membership.
• Experience in structures studies, renewals work design, or structural assessment.
• Good stakeholder management and clear customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prepare survey briefs, and support delivery of structures survey works.
• Monitor delivery of assessment work liaising with technical partners and delivery teams.
• Develop early options for improvements including option reports and buildability considerations.
• Undertake structural reviews per CS 451 and assessment per DMRB standards.

Education
