Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Structures Engineer to join the Asset Management division within Operations. You will identify asset needs, produce and review risk management plans, and manage budgets and aspects of the supply chain to maintain assets in line with DMRB standards.

The role offers hybrid working from Basingstoke/Guildford/Maidstone offices and involves creating treatment options and performing preliminary design work as needed.

Qualifications

• Identify and support delivery of structures survey works to renew assets.
• Monitor delivery of assessment work with technical partners; assist with schemes.
• Develop options reports considering value, materials, buildability and costs.

Responsibilities

• Undertake structural reviews per CS 451 and assessment per DMRB standards.
• Assist in developing regional asset forward programme and initial scheme development.
• Support delivery of projects within allocated budgets and supply chain.
