Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Structures Engineer to join the Asset Management division within Operations. You will identify asset needs, produce risk management plans, and assist with budgets and the supply chain to maintain assets to DMRB standards.

The role may involve developing treatment options, preliminary design work, structural reviews, and assessments while adhering to asset policies. Hybrid roles across Guildford, Basingstoke and Maidstone offices are available, with a full driving

Qualifications

• Degree or HND in relevant discipline and appropriate experience, or equivalent.
• Working towards professional membership or professional body.
• Experience in structures studies, renewals design or structural assessment.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prepare survey briefs, and support delivery of structures survey works.
• Monitor delivery of assessment work and treatment options with partners.
• Develop early solutions for improvements and renewals with option reports.
• Undertake structural reviews and assessments per CS 451/DMRB standards.
• Support regional asset forward programme and scheme development.
• Engage with stakeholders with strong customer focus.
