Qualifications

• 3-8 years’ PQE from a leading law firm or equivalent financial institution environment.
• Strong experience in structured finance, derivatives, or securitisation, ideally with exposure to SRT transactions.
• Knowledge of regulatory capital frameworks and credit risk mitigation strategies.
• Ability to structure, draft, and negotiate complex transaction documentation.
• Demonstrable analytical skills and sound commercial judgment.
• Capacity to manage multi-party negotiations and work closely with major institutional clients.
• International mindset and ability to operate confidently in a cross-border transaction environment.

Responsibilities

• Advising on funded and unfunded synthetic securitisations and portfolio risk transfer structures.
• Structuring and executing balance sheet optimisation transactions, including capital relief trades and regulatory-driven solutions.
• Negotiating complex documentation covering regulatory capital, credit-linked instruments, and investor arrangements.
• Collaboration with colleagues in tax, regulatory, and structured finance teams to deliver integrated, multi-disciplinary advice.
• Advising on derivative overlays and hedging solutions associated with securitisation transactions.
