Job summary

Taylor Root is seeking a Derivatives and Structured Products Associate (2-4 PQE) to join a market-leading debt capital markets team within a globally integrated finance practice. The role focuses on advising on complex derivatives, structured products, and related regulatory matters for blue-chip clients in a collaborative, high-performing environment.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years’ post-qualification experience with strong exposure to derivatives and structured products.
• Experience at a top-tier or international law firm is essential.
• Excellent drafting skills with attention to detail.
• Strong understanding of securitised and OTC derivatives structures and regulatory requirements.
• Proactive approach, commercial acumen, and ability to manage multiple time-sensitive matters.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
• High level of client awareness and ability to foster strong relationships.

Responsibilities

• Advise on a range of derivatives and structured product mandates.
• Contribute to establishing and maintaining structured products programmes.
• Support cross-border and cross-jurisdictional transactions and regulatory advice.
• Engage in product design, risk mitigation strategies and complex transactions.
• Coordinate with global teams to deliver multi-jurisdictional mandates.
