About the Role –Our Edinburgh office is looking to appoint a Building Structure Technician to join our Edinburgh office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a structural consultancy and demonstrate their ability to provide detailed REVIT models of structures in steel and reinforced concrete as well as the ability to provide detailed structural drawings in steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber in AutoCAD and Revit software packages.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide detailed REVIT models of structures in steel and reinforced concrete.
• Provide detailed structural drawings in steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber in AutoCAD and Revit software packages.
• Assist in the development of BIM implementation on projects.
• Maintain and promote Fairhurst Technical standards.
• Liaise with other design team members to achieve a coordinated design, developing ability to actively take a design lead when required

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Minimum HNC/HND in Civil /Structural Engineering.
• Extensive experience in structural consultancy.
• Strong software skills in the use of Autodesk REVIT, AutoCAD and related software.
• RC Detailing experience beneficial.
• Flexible and enthusiastic approach to working within a team structure.
• Confidence and ability to maximise the level of responsibility taken on projects, small and large.
