We offer architectural design and project management services tailored to each client’s needs—delivering smooth, cost-effective projects with care and attention. Based in Wealden, Sussex, our work spans Sussex, Kent, Surrey, and beyond.

The Role

We’re looking for a part-time, self-employed Architect and Architectural Technician to join our friendly and collaborative team. This is a remote role, ideal for someone based in or near the South East, with occasional travel for site visits and client meetings.

You’ll be responsible for the full range of architectural services—from concept design through to project delivery—working closely with clients, consultants, and contractors. The role suits someone who is self-motivated, organised, and passionate about residential architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing creative design concepts and solutions
• Preparing planning applications, including Design & Access and Heritage Statements
• Producing detailed tender and construction documentation, specifications, and technical drawings
• Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities
• Coordinating with external consultants and managing project timelines
• Attending site visits and resolving on-site issues where required
• Ensuring compliance with planning and building regulations

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the UK residential sector (essential)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (essential)
• Strong technical drawing and detailing skills
• In-depth knowledge of English planning and building regulations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Experience with listed buildings and conservation projects (desirable)
• RIBA and/or ARB registration a plus
• UK driving licence and access to own transport
• Must have the right to work in the UK
