Socotec is seeking an experienced Structural Surveyor to join our team supporting critical infrastructure projects which initially has a focus on Gatwick Airport, but the role will broaden. This role requires a qualified structural engineer with experience in aviation and airport environments, capable of conducting technical surveys, assessments, and inspections of airport structures whilst ensuring compliance with stringent aviation safety standards. The ideal candidate will also have experience in the field of Technical Due Diligence and be able to assess the fabric of existing buildings and advise on its condition and state of repair. The role requires the ability to undertake structural verification checks, based on the information gathered through desk top study and the site survey. The candidate would be required to scope intrusive surveys that would be carried out by the intrusive survey team.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
