The welder/fabricator role focuses on structural steel fabrication in a workshop environment. You will read drawings, weld fillet and butt joints, and set out beams and connections with precision to meet project timelines.

Safety and quality are emphasized as you operate cranes and cutting equipment and maintain weld records and material traceability throughout the production process.

Qualifications

• Proven experience welding and fabricating structural steel.
• Experience reading structural fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
• Ability to produce accurate fit-ups and quality welds with minimal rework.
• Experience using workshop equipment safely, including cranes, slings, grinders and cutting equipment.

Responsabilités

• Fabricate structural steelwork from drawings, ensuring members are ready to bolt and erect without rework.
• Weld fillet, butt and positional joints to required procedures and standards.
• Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols to identify issues before cutting.
• Set out and assemble beams, frames and connections accurately within tolerance.
• Operate workshop equipment safely (cranes, slings, grinders, cutting tools).
• Deliver weekly output while maintaining traceability and finish quality.
