Qualifications

• Accredited bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering subject with structural simulation experience.
• Fundamentals of structural simulation using finite element analysis.
• Sound engineering fundamentals and robust analytical thinking.
• Experience with engines or rotating machinery is preferred.
• Ability to interpret and communicate results clearly.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and resolve engineering problems using fundamentals.
• Perform structural simulation of static, dynamic, thermal and fatigue analyses.
• Develop and evolve simulation processes to improve effectiveness.
• Communicate results to internal and external customers clearly.
• Collaborate with design engineers to support Caterpillar products.
