Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Senior Design Engineer in Peterborough to lead design solutions for industrial diesel engine components. You will collaborate across global teams to address demanding requirements, with focus on CAD design, durability and integration with subsystems.

Role requires strong CREO CAD skills, experience with engine components, and effective collaboration with suppliers. Onsite five days a week in Peterborough, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Expert level of CAD geometry using CREO10.
• Strong understanding of engine components and related systems.
• Solid grasp of manufacturing principles and processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to collaborate with external suppliers on design solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and packaging engine components such as major aluminium and cast iron castings, geartrain, valvetrain, drivetrain and in‑cylinder components.
• Input to system design development for breather, cooling, FEAD & lubrication system.
• Work in a global multi‑discipline team to meet requirements.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and manage deliverables.
