Gi Group is recruiting for a Plater at a busy engineering and fabrication facility in Ollerton (NG22). This full-time role offers a day shift with overtime available and a clear path for long-term work on major UK projects.

Reading complex drawings and using fabrication machinery are essential, with heavy-gauge plating on mild steel up to 100mm+. Join a team delivering large-scale infrastructure steelwork.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the structural steel industry.
• Ability to confidently read technical drawings.
• Heavy gauge plating experience.

Responsibilities

• Full plating role working on heavy structural steel
• Reading & working from complex technical drawings
• Using fabrication machinery (press brake, guillotine etc.)
• Marking out, cutting & fabricating heavy-gauge steel
• Working with mild steel from 10mm-100mm+
• Producing bespoke and high-quality components
