Our client, a rapidly growing engineering company based in Chesterfield, is seeking an experienced Plater Fabricator to join their dynamic team.
Plater Fabricator Roles and Responsibilities:
- Carrying out fabrication and development work on custom steel structures in a heavy engineering environment
- Interpreting and working from detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Building components and assemblies to a high standard of accuracy and quality
- Performing high-quality MIG welding
- Measuring, marking out, cutting, shaping, and drilling plate and steel sections
- Operating a range of workshop tools, machinery, and fabrication equipment
- Maintaining strict adherence to all Health & Safety procedures and site policies
Plater Fabricator Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced and confident in plating and fabrication
- Preferably time-served or apprentice-trained with relevant qualifications
- Skilled MIG welder with a strong eye for detail
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawingsHands-on experience using fabrication machinery
- Background in heavy steel or structural steel industries
- Capable of working independently from drawings and seeing a project through from start to finish
Plater Fabricator Working Hours and Benefits:
- Monday – Thursday, 06:00 – 16:30
- Overtime rate time and half
