Job summary

BRE is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer in Watford to provide technical leadership across structural engineering activities, delivering high-quality engineering, testing and assurance services. You will coordinate engineers, technicians and laboratories to drive project success and business growth.

You will interpret testing regimes, apply BS/EN standards, and contribute to proposals, reports and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Chartered Structural Engineer with leadership experience in complex structural projects.
• Strong knowledge of BS and EN structural codes and testing applications.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams of engineers, technicians and lab staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a complex structural engineering function, delivering a complete technical service against objectives and growth targets.
• Oversee delivery of structural projects, ensuring technical quality and compliance with standards and client requirements.
• Develop and interpret test regimes based on structural design principles, including static and dynamic behaviour.
