Job summary

The Keystone Group is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Cookstown technical team. You will design, analyse and deliver structural steelwork projects, collaborating with internal teams and clients to provide practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Responsibilities include producing structural designs and calculations, interpreting drawings, preparing quotations, designing bespoke steel solutions, visiting sites and delivering reports throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in Structural Engineering.
• Experience using 2D and 3D CAD software and Tekla.
• Strong understanding of structural design principles.
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative.
• Ambitious and keen to develop their career within structural engineering.

Responsibilities

• Producing structural designs and engineering calculations for steelwork projects.
• Interpreting architectural and structural drawings and specifications.
• Preparing accurate and competitive technical quotations.
• Designing standard and bespoke steel solutions to suit project requirements.
• Working closely with management and senior structural engineers.
• Providing technical advice and support to clients.
• Carrying out site visits to measure and resolve issues.
• Preparing clear and structured technical reports.
• Managing projects through the full lifecycle from enquiry to completion.
• Contributing to continuous improvement within the technical team.
