Job summary

Keystone Group is seeking a Structural Engineer in Cookstown, Northern Ireland to design, analyse and deliver steelwork projects. You will work with internal teams, senior engineers and clients to provide practical, cost-effective solutions and manage projects end-to-end.

The role involves developing detailed designs, interpreting drawings, preparing quotations, and supporting clients on site. A degree in structural engineering and proficiency in 2D/3D CAD and Tekla are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Degree or background in Structural Engineering.
  • Experience with 2D/3D CAD and Tekla software.
  • Proactive problem-solver with strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed structural designs and calculations for steelwork projects.
  • Review architectural/structural drawings and project requirements.
  • Prepare accurate technical quotations and proposals.
  • Design standard and bespoke steel solutions for projects.
  • Collaborate with management and engineers to deliver projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to clients.
  • Attend site visits to gather information and resolve challenges.
  • Produce clear technical reports and documentation.
  • Manage projects through design to completion.

About The Role

We are seeking an ambitious Structural Engineer to join the Keyfab team, where you will be involved in the design, analysis and delivery of structural steelwork projects. Working closely with internal teams, senior engineers and clients, you’ll help deliver practical and cost-effective engineering solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer to gain experience across structural design, project management and commercial activities within a fast-paced and supportive environment.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Developing detailed structural designs and engineering calculations for a variety of steelwork projects.
  • Reviewing and interpreting architectural and structural drawings, specifications and project requirements.
  • Preparing accurate, commercially competitive technical quotations and proposals.
  • Designing both standard and bespoke steel solutions tailored to meet specific project needs.
  • Collaborating closely with management, senior structural engineers and internal teams to deliver successful projects.
  • Providing expert technical guidance and support to clients, ensuring effective and practical solutions.
  • Attending site visits to gather information, assess requirements and resolve technical challenges.
  • Producing clear, concise and well-structured technical reports and documentation.
  • Managing projects throughout the full lifecycle, from initial enquiry and design through to completion.
