Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Ltd is working with a multinational consultancy to recruit a Structural Engineer for their Glasgow office. The role covers power and energy projects such as substations and grid infrastructure, with additional work in industrial, defence and transportation sectors.

You will design structural elements, produce drawings and reports, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• Experience delivering projects in power, energy, and infrastructure sectors.
• In progression towards ICE/IStructE Chartered status.
• Proficient with structural analysis software.
• Strong knowledge of Eurocodes and British Standards.
• Ability to work across disciplines.
• Eligibility for security clearance for certain projects.
• Experience on UK-based structural projects.

Responsibilities

• Design structural elements for power and energy infrastructure projects.
• Produce drawings, specifications and reports meeting standards.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver safe, sustainable solutions.
• Review calculations, drawings and supplier submissions for quality.
• Support development of junior engineers.
