Job summary

Energi People is recruiting a Structural Engineer in the UK with 2–5 years of consultancy experience to work on a varied portfolio of building structures projects in a hybrid environment.

You will design in steel, concrete, masonry and timber, carry out calculations and liaise with architects, contractors and other design consultants to deliver practical solutions. A pathway to Chartership with ICE or IStructE is supported.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of UK structural consultancy experience.
• Experience designing structures in steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.
• Able to perform structural calculations and produce design solutions.
• Familiar with Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds or Robot and UK design codes.
• Working towards Chartership with ICE or IStructE.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structural designs for a range of building projects across multiple sectors.
• Prepare structural calculations, technical reports and design specifications.
• Liaise with architects, contractors and other design consultants throughout project delivery.
• Attend site visits and undertake inspections when required.
• Work closely with senior engineers to develop practical and cost-effective solutions; progress towards professional Chartership.
