Job summary

HBL Associates Ltd. in Greater Manchester seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to lead the structural engineering delivery on small and medium-sized projects. You will work closely with technicians, architects and other engineers to develop robust, buildable solutions and ensure design integrity.

The role involves reviewing calculations, coordinating interfaces, mentoring graduates and maintaining high professional standards across design reviews and CPD.

Qualifications

• Experience in structural analysis across a range of building types and materials.
• Ability to prepare clear structural calculations and drawings to relevant standards.
• Develop buildable structural solutions from concept to construction.
• Experience assessing existing structures for strengthening or alteration.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering delivery on small to medium projects.
• Coordinate designs with architectural, civil, MEP and subcontractors.
• Respond to technical queries from clients and contractors.
• Attend site inspections and review construction against design intent.
• Maintain design information and calculations per quality procedures.
• Identify and manage project risks with the wider team.
• Provide mentoring and technical guidance to graduates and engineers.
