Job description

Based in Sheffield, this multi-disciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy works both nationally and internationally, across disciplines including civil, structural, health and safety, mechanical and electrical, waste management and sustainable energy.

Established during the 1950s as a pure Structural Engineering practice, this consultancy have grown through acquisition as well as organically and have developed a reputation as one of the largest and most successful UK engineering consultancies with 19 offices in the UK and 10 offices across Europe and the Far East.

Job Description:

A Structural Engineer with 2 - 5 years experience is needed to work within the Sheffield office of a large Corporate Consultancy. You will be working on a variety of projects including Healthcare, Hotels, Retail, Education and Leisure developments.

As an Engineer you will be working as part of a team carrying out structural design and analysis of building structures. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills and experience through mentoring and development.

The Client currently use the following software packages; Robot, Masterseries, Etabs, Tedds, CSC Fastrac Building Designer. If you have experience using one or more of the packages mentioned above my Client will be pleased to review your CV.

Person Specification:

To be considered for this role you will hold a relevant Civil/Structural Engineering degree, ideally possessing a Masters but this is not essential.

~ Approaching Chartered Engineering status

~ Excellent understanding of Eurocodes and design and analysis software

~ Ability to work independently to tight deadlines

~ The role is also client facing so you will need to have a confident and professional manner and be able to represent the company at all levels

~ Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in verbal and written forms
