Structural Engineer required to join their consultancy based in Lancaster. The core purpose of this role is to ensure that best Structural Engineering design practices are applied within the office. This position would suit a recently qualified Structural Engineer with a good breadth of experience in the consultancy sector, with at least 3 years' experience within residential and commercial buildings.

Structural Engineer Position Overview

• The role will involve mentoring less experienced team members.
• Work on multiple projects and clients simultaneously.
• Support our Principal Engineers and Directors across the group.
• Prioritize quality deliverables and client satisfaction.
• Adhere to our industry-recognized processes and procedures.
• Apply fundamental knowledge of structural engineering design principles.
• Engage in innovative and sustainable engineering projects across various sectors, including residential, commercial, and industrial.
• Utilize AutoCAD, Masterseries, TEDDS, STAAD.Pro, SCIA, and Revit.
• Prepare reports and conduct site visits.

Structural Engineer Position Requirements

• Minimum of three years' experience in structural design, including steelwork, reinforced concrete, and masonry construction to Eurocode standards.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Masterseries, and TEDDS.
• Knowledge of STAAD.Pro, SCIA, and Revit.
• Ability to produce detailed structural calculations and sketches.
• Experience in preparing construction drawings and specifications.
• Commercial awareness regarding costing, budgets, and quotations.
• Experience with report writing and conducting site visits to verify construction compliance.
• Willingness to work towards or be nearing Chartered Status.
