Job description

Structural Engineer

We are seeking a Structural Engineer for our rapidly expanding client, based in Warrington and working across the North West. The role involves working from home and supporting a company that operates throughout the UK, specializing in Structural Inspections with a Structural Design team.

The Structural Engineer will be field-based, providing structural design services for various building types using the latest digital technology. Projects include Residential, Commercial, and Historic Buildings. This position is ideal for a passionate engineer comfortable working remotely who aims to develop their career and achieve chartered status with full support from the company.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design structural solutions for all types of buildings under the supervision of a Senior Structural Engineer
  2. Prepare associated AutoCAD structural drawings
  3. Support Senior Structural Engineers in project delivery
  4. Assist with site inspections
  5. Develop innovative ideas and solutions
  6. Utilize the latest software tools in structural engineering
Minimum Requirements
  • Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering (1st or higher)
  • Proficiency in IT systems
  • Basic understanding of building materials and structures including steel, masonry, concrete, and timber
  • Experience with industry-standard structural design software such as TEDDS
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Passion for new technologies and progressive change
  • Valid UK driving license and car ownership
