Job summary

Vincera Consulting Ltd in Derby is seeking a Senior Structural Technician to join a team of skilled structural engineers on a range of building design projects, including industrial, logistics, and residential schemes. The role offers hybrid working.

You will work on 2D and 3D drawing using Revit and AutoCAD, produce reinforcement schedules, manage multiple projects, mentor junior technicians, and liaise with clients and design teams to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Proficient in 2D and 3D drawing for building materials using industry software.
• Experience detailing reinforced concrete and steelwork.
• Strong communication with clients and external design teams.
• Mentor junior technicians and support knowledge transfer.
• Experience with BIM packages and coordination workflows.

Responsibilities

• Producing reinforcement bending schedules for reinforced concrete.
• Managing workload on numerous projects to meet deadlines and client requirements.
• Taking a lead role in larger schemes to plan work and delegate to other Technicians.
• Mentoring Junior Technicians
• Liaising with Clients and external design teams daily
• Contribute to improvements in company and drawing office procedures

Senior Structural Technician - Derby - Hybrid £42,000 - £50,000

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Structural Technician in Derby. As a Structural Technician this role presents the opportunity to join a wonderful team of highly skilled, structural engineering professionals who deliver a multitude of building design projects; industrial, logistics, multi-storey commercial and residential schemes, bespoke and more unusual industrial works, MOD based schemes, city regeneration schemes. About You

As an experienced Structural Technician you will ideally possess the following skills:

• Good all-round technical drawing expertise using Revit and AutoCAD for all building materials
• Exceptional knowledge of civil and structural build details and construction interfaces
• Experience in the detailing of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge and use of BIM packages such as Navisworks and ReCAP

Overview of Role

Undertaking technical drawing work in 2D and 3D on major infrastructure projects.

• Producing reinforcement bending schedules for reinforced concrete
• Managing workload on numerous projects to ensure deadlines are met and client requirements are fulfilled
• Taking a lead role in larger schemes to plan work and delegate to other Technicians within the Department
• Mentoring Junior Technicians
• Liaising with Clients and external design teams on a daily basis
• Contribute and take an active role in the improvement of Company and Drawing Office procedures
