Responsibilities

£55,000 - £60,000

A new role for,Principal Structural Engineer has arisen in Derby; working for an award winning Engineering Consultancy who have an impressive portfolio of projects within the building structures sector.As a department they have something for everyone, smaller / mid-sized individual based projects and much larger, challenging,Team focused design schemes. At present they are involved in a solid range of projects which include but is not restricted to:

• MOD based projects
• Mid-rise residential apartments, flats and student accommodation
• Multi-storey central commercial and residential schemes
• Industrial Logistical Parks and distribution facilities - portal frames structures
• More unique and bespoke "industrial" based projects
• Motor Show Rooms, workshops and facilities

My Client requires a highly skilled and talented Principal Structural Engineer who can take a lead on the technicaldelivery and managementof projects.

About You

• Good all-round, UK based,technical design expertise using British and international standards, and/or Eurocodes
• A degree qualified (BEng or MEng), Structural Engineer; ideally working to or having gained Chartership
• Proven ability in preparation of bids and proposals and reports
• Fantastic Client management skills
• Sound client liaison experience and being commercially aware
• Hands on approach to design, with a desire to remain engaged in design and project delivery
• Good organisation, communication, and presentation skills
• Experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork
