Job summary

Cornerstone Project Source in Buckinghamshire is seeking a permanent Draughtsman to produce GAs and fabrication drawings for structural steelwork projects. Start date ASAP.

You will generate 2D and 3D CAD drawings, create fabrication details for the shop, quantify materials for each project and resolve drawing queries with the fabrication team, contractors, architects and engineers, while ensuring compliance with UKCA marking and Building Control.

Qualifications

• Proven AutoCAD experience (2 years preferred).
• Experience with Tekla Structures or Advance Steel.

Responsibilities

• Produce GAs and fabrication drawings from building plans using 2D & 3D CAD.
• Produce fabrication details methodically and accurately for the fabrication shop.
• Ensure designs comply with UK regulations (UKCA marking, Building Control).
• Quantify materials required for each project.
• Liaise with the fabrication team, contractors, architects and engineers on drawing queries.
