Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a skilled Structural Engineering draughting designer to join our multi-disciplinary team working on industrial facilities, data centres and semiconductor projects. You will produce 3D models, perform clash detection and coordinate real-time with mechanical, civil, architectural and process disciplines to develop robust designs.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in structural draughting and modelling, and familiarity with Eurocodes and international codes.

Qualifications

• Qualification in civil or structural engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in structural draughting and modelling.
• Irish Standards, Eurocode and international codes knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with 3D modelling software essential.

Responsibilities

• Production and editing of 3D models using Revit and Navisworks Simulate.
• Clash detection within complex models across multiple disciplines.
• Manage scope, budget and schedule to meet project goals.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil, architectural and process disciplines to develop designs.
• Independently lead plant design activities as area/system leader or sub-leader.
