Job summary

ALTEN UK is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team on complex building and infrastructure projects within regulated defence environments.

You will contribute to detailed design, prepare calculation notes and substantiation documents, analyse drawings and specifications, and develop finite element models using ANSYS APDL, including soil–structure interaction and seismic calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
• Experience in finite element analysis (FEA/FEM) and reinforced concrete checks.
• Knowledge of Eurocodes and British Standards beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the detailed structural design of buildings within a multidisciplinary team.
• Prepare engineering calculation notes and technical substantiation documents.
• Analyse and review technical documentation, drawings and specifications.
• Develop and assess finite element models using ANSYS APDL.
• Perform soil–structure interaction assessments and seismic calculations.
• Collaborate with civil, structural and geotechnical engineering teams.
