Job summary

Assystem is seeking a capable engineer to join our Simulation and Assessment team in the UK. You will perform Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of nuclear components, plan delivery, produce technical reports and communicate with customer technical leads across a safety-critical program.

You will use tools such as Abaqus, Ansys and Nastran, and may work within client teams or from an Assystem office. A UK driving licence and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent technical fundamentals in structures, mechanics and fluids.
• Hands-on modelling with Abaqus, Ansys, Nastran, CFD.
• Appreciation of code assessments in safety-related industries (ASME, RCC-M, KTA).
• Engineering degree or equivalent and UK travel capability.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and report FEA projects for nuclear components.
• Communicate with customer technical leads and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with client teams or deliver from Assystem offices.
