Job summary

Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Stroke Nurse to join our expanding acute stroke team on a 30-bed HASU unit. You will help deliver hyperacute stroke care, support the HASU bay, and deputise for the ward leader while striving to meet SSNAP standards.

A welcoming MDT environment offers ongoing stroke-focused teaching and opportunities to progress. You will be supported by a multidisciplinary team with emphasis on health and wellbeing and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Experienced Stroke Nurse with focus on acute stroke care.
• Ability to assist in thrombolysis and hyperacute management.
• Supportive in coordinating transfers and deputising for ward leadership.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hyperacute stroke care and assist in thrombolysis and transfers.
• Help manage the Hyper Acute Stroke Unit (HASU) bay.
• Support ward leader in stroke ward coordination and SSNAP data tasks.
• Contribute to achieving SSNAP standards and data accuracy.
