Job summary

You will lead clinical assessment, oversee patient flow, support junior staff and contribute to education and service development, with emphasis on high-quality stroke care.

Qualifications

• NMC registration is essential for practice in the UK NHS.
• University nursing degree and relevant specialty training are expected.
• Experience or willingness to undertake extended role competencies.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with the multi-disciplinary team at all levels.
• Take charge of the unit clinically when senior staff are absent and mentor junior staff.
• Manage patient flow in ED and stroke unit to ensure timely transfer.
• Perform initial assessment of acute stroke patients and support thrombolysis/thrombectomy pathways.
