Job summary

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist with Stroke/Neurology experience to join the Stroke Therapy Team on the Stroke Unit at Salisbury District Hospital. You will assess and manage a varied caseload in a specialised area, with supervision from senior staff and close collaboration with the MDT.

The role is Band 5 with potential progression to Band 6. Applicants should have NHS experience, HCPC registration, and strong communication and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years NHS experience post qualification.
• Experience of service development in an acute setting.
• Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy with HCPC registration.

Responsibilities

• Lead on elements of the work in the acute Stroke OT setting.
• Participate in all aspects of role delivery within the MDT.
• Demonstrate clear clinical reasoning and effective discharge planning.
