Southend University Hospital NHS Trust is seeking a Specialist Stroke Occupational Therapist (Band 6) to join the Adult Therapy Service on a maternity cover basis. The role focuses on specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for stroke patients, within a forward-thinking, supportive team.

You will lead on aspects of the work and training, collaborate with the stroke multidisciplinary team, and supervise juniors and students.

Qualifikationen

• Band 6 OT with leadership responsibilities.
• Willing to lead on elements of work and training.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Evidence of recent professional learning.

Aufgaben

• Provide specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to stroke patients.
• Support timely discharge planning and equipment provision.
• Deliver patient and family education and coordinate care across the stroke pathway.
• Provide clinical leadership and supervise junior staff and students.
• Contribute to service development and ensure SSNAP and national standards.
