Job summary

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Physiotherapy Assistant to join the stroke therapy team at Frimley Park Hospital. The role focuses on assisting the physiotherapy team to deliver rehab to a range of patients, including those who may be unwell, in a ward-based setting.

You must be able to attend face-to-face shifts as online options are not available. Under supervision you will help in patient care, support 1:1 exercise programmes, deliver patient education and maintain records

Qualifications

• Provide general support in the area of work under the direct/indirect supervision of a qualified physiotherapist.

Responsibilities

• Assist in caring for patients within the Acute Stroke Unit.
• Supervise patient activities, 1 to 1 exercise programmes, and delivery of patient education and exercise classes.
• Take patient information handover from nursing staff when deemed competent by a Senior Physiotherapist.
• Keep records of work and daily statistics.
