Job summary

VerseOne Group is recruiting a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to gain clinical experience in stroke within an Adult Therapy Service in Basildon. The role is a maternity cover with a fixed-term contract and requires leadership and collaboration across the stroke pathway.

You will provide specialist assessments, lead on elements of the work, supervise juniors, and access senior OT support and training opportunities. Applications may close early with high volume.

Qualifications

• Essential: Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• Essential: Registered with Health and Care Professions Council.
• Essential: Relevant CPD and evidence of ongoing, continual professional development.
• Desirable: Member of RCOT.
• Desirable: Clinical educators course.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for stroke to optimise functional independence.
• Support timely discharge planning, equipment provision, and education for patients and families.
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision of junior staff and students; contribute to service development.

Education

Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy

Registered with Health and Care Professions Council

Relevant CPD and ongoing, continual professional development

Member of RCOT
